Here are a few books I particularly like for introducing children to the world and its diversity through reading:<\/p>\n

A first atlas that, beyond its maps of the world and continents, presents each continent in turn through a handful of landmark countries.<\/p>\n

This collection of book-and-CD sets introduces world music through a story paired with original, high-quality music composed by a musician from the country or continent in question. \u201cTimb\u00e9l\u00e9 et la Reine Lune\u201d, for instance, features music composed by Tour\u00e9 Kunda. Each instrument is presented in detail at the end of the CD and in the final pages of the book.<\/p>\n
