No engine noise, no sudden jolting, no exhaust fumes. You approach the animals in silence, the morning scent of the bush awakens your senses&#8230; Eternal Africa simply vibrates. Technology then seems far, very far away. And yet it has never been closer: in the vehicle, where the combustion engine has given way to an electric motor and the fuel tank to batteries; at the lodge, where a photovoltaic panel farm makes the lodge and vehicles self-sufficient, for a carbon footprint close to zero. In a few years, solar technology has made giant strides.
