Buenos Aires, one of South America’s largest megacities, can be considered the heart of Argentina; nicknamed "BA", it is home to more than 14 million inhabitants, proud of its distinct cultural identity.
Though dynamic, the city has not sacrificed elegance, preserving its cultural traditions; amid the "barrios" ("neighbourhoods"), which almost feel like separate towns, each with its own colours and character, the atmosphere and conviviality that animate the locals, and the charming Latin architecture of its avenues, squares and buildings, one senses here the heart of the country.
But Buenos Aires is also style and energy, polo, football, and, of course, the birthplace of tango — ingredients that have made the Argentine capital famous the world over.
