Just a few minutes' walk from Victoria Falls, Ilala Lodge Hotel occupies a unique position.

Layout

The rooms, decorated in a contemporary style inspired by African history, all feature a private balcony or open onto the hotel's landscaped gardens. From certain areas of the property, it's possible to glimpse the spray of Victoria Falls and hear the distinctive rumble of the “Smoke that Thunders.” Warthogs, impalas and sometimes even elephants regularly pass through the gardens, offering guests unexpected wildlife encounters.

The acclaimed, multi-award-winning Cassia Restaurant serves refined cuisine showcasing local and international flavours. Its terrace allows for al fresco dining under the African sky, with a unique atmosphere created by the proximity of the falls. The hotel also has a pleasant poolside bar as well as two pools, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Ilala Lodge Hotel has 73 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, spread across several wings offering views over the hotel's lush gardens or the spray of Victoria Falls. All feature a private terrace or balcony, air conditioning, satellite television, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, and a private bathroom.

Classic Rooms
Classic Rooms offer a comfortable and elegant option for exploring Victoria Falls. Located on the ground floor or upstairs, they open onto the hotel's landscaped gardens or a private balcony. Their decor combines modern comfort with authentic African touches. From some rooms, guests can spot warthogs and other animals that regularly visit the hotel's lawns.

Deluxe Rooms
Located in the hotel's newest wing, Deluxe Rooms offer more space and a higher level of comfort. They feature a private terrace and enjoy beautiful views over the gardens as well as the spray rising above Victoria Falls. Their contemporary bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower and double basins. These rooms are particularly popular with couples.

Classic Suites
Classic Suites are ideal for families or travellers wanting more space. Set in a prime position at the top of the hotel, they offer lovely views over the gardens and Victoria Falls. They feature a king-size bed plus an additional sleeping space, and can be interconnected with a neighbouring room to accommodate families.

Executive Suites
Executive Suites offer a refined setting with a separate bedroom and independent living room. Spacious and elegant, they feature a large private terrace with superb views over the gardens and the falls' spray. Their bathroom includes a bathtub, a walk-in shower, and double basins.
