À vivre

Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge is a comfortable hotel at the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, about 2.5 hours by road from Manaus, facing the Rio Negro and the Anavilhanas river archipelago. This archipelago, designated a national park covering more than 3,500 km², comprises some 400 pristine islands spread across more than 90 km.
Staffed mainly by people from the region, the lodge works to keep its ecological impact to a minimum and to respect the conservation guidelines of the surrounding environment.

A stay at Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge guarantees a balance between nature and comfort, between adventure and rest.

Seasons

Our seasonal advice

In the rainforest, it is hot and humid year-round. Temperatures range between 25°C and 27°C, but can climb as high as 40°C. The Rio Negro reaches its highest level in June, following the rainy season from December to May. In the lead-up to this, igapós (flooded forests) form both in the archipelago and on dry land. The dry season runs from June to November. The Rio Negro's water level reaches its lowest point in November, when white sand beaches form across the archipelago. There is less risk of heavy rain than during the rest of the year, and the heat is more intense, though a storm can still occur.
