Located in the Mabalingwe reserve, not far from the Waterberg mountains and just 2 hours from Johannesburg, Itaga is a charming lodge with only 8 chalets. The welcome is friendly, the atmosphere very warm, and the reserve is home to the Big Five!
Itaga Lodge also features a gift and souvenir shop, a swimming pool with a large terrace, and a raised "upper deck" offering sweeping views over the plains. The quiet solitude of this private setting makes it the ideal spot for watching sensational sunsets while savouring the moment with a cocktail.

Layout

Itaga luxury private game lodge is an exclusive yet affordable property with 8 air-conditioned, tastefully furnished chalets.
It features a thatched central complex comprising an intimate lounge with a fireplace, a dining room, a cocktail bar with a panoramic terrace overlooking the floodlit waterhole, a comfortable open-air bush boma, a tea and coffee station available throughout the day, and a lounge area.

Rooms have private pergola-covered patios, and guests may choose between shower and bathtub or shower only. Most rooms also feature an outdoor “bush shower” for that exhilarating “Out of Africa” experience! All rooms are equipped with a digital safe and a hairdryer.
