At the heart of southern Namibia, Klein Aus Desert Inn opens onto wild landscapes where granite mountains meet endless plains. The lodge enjoys an ideal location, halfway between Lüderitz and the Namib Desert, close to the iconic wild horses of Aus. The atmosphere is authentic and warm, with an elegant rustic touch.
Built in harmony with its surroundings, it offers panoramic views over an ever-changing desert, at its most striking at sunset.

Layout

The lodge comprises around thirty comfortable rooms, spaced apart to preserve privacy and tranquillity. The shared spaces include a bright restaurant, a welcoming bar and several terraces facing out over the desert horizons.
A swimming pool offers a welcome, cooling break set against the mineral landscape. There is also a small outdoor lounge and viewing areas for admiring the sunrises and sunsets. The whole property is designed to experience the desert without giving up essential comfort.

The rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, a fan, a private washroom and terraces opening onto the desert.
A simple yet warm space. Wood, stone and sand tones reinforce the soul of the place. The accommodations are designed to welcome couples, families or solo travellers in a peaceful, natural setting.

Activities offered

The lodge offers numerous activities, both independent and guided: marked trails in the desert, observation of the Aus wild horses, excursions to Kolmanskop, Lüderitz and the coastal dunes. Scenic 4x4 safaris and photographic explorations are also possible.
The free trails allow guests to take in the silence and beauty of the landscape.
Guided outings, available at an additional cost, offer deeper immersion in the desert's history and geology.
