Lac Kariba
The camp has 8 luxurious tents, set beneath the trees with views over the lake. Communal areas include a spacious open lounge, a panoramic terrace and a library corner. The dining room, whether open-air or covered, offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
An infinity pool overlooks the lake, ideal for spotting crocodiles and hippos in the distance. The overall setting is intimate, elegant and bathed in natural light.
Children are welcome at Changa Safari Camp.
Children under 16 cannot take part in walks, but may join other activities.
Each of the 6 standard tents offers a harmonious blend of olive canvas, natural wood and East African-inspired decor. They sleep two people and are fully enclosed by dedicated mosquito netting, allowing you to sleep with the doors open, lulled by the breeze and the sounds of the bush.
Two interleading family tents round out the offering, designed to let children reach the parents' tent safely and privately.
Each tent has a private bathroom, a safari-style shower and an outdoor area facing the natural surroundings.
The layout favours calm, natural light and a connection to the elements.
Numerous activities are available at Changa Safari Camp. Morning and afternoon safaris are organised in open safari vehicles, along with walks led by a professional armed guide.
You can take part in boat safaris, watch birds from the camp's jetty, or try your hand at catching the famous tiger fish, emblematic of Lake Kariba.
For those wanting to take some time to relax, you don't need to venture far from camp to see wildlife, as regular visitors such as elephants, monkeys, squirrels and occasionally a leopard like to wander through.
Every activity unfolds in the spirit of Matusadona: gently, deeply, at nature's own pace.
