PheZulu Lodge is located at Botha's Hill, just 35 km from central Durban. This scenic park offers a magnificent view over the famous Valley of a Thousand Hills.
At Phezulu village, the renowned Gasa clan has, for the past 30 years, offered visitors a taste and feel of Africa's rhythm. Guests are welcomed into traditional thatched beehive huts, where various artefacts, beliefs and rituals are explained, giving outsiders insight into the fascinating Zulu culture.

Layout

Phezulu has one of the best Curio shops in Kwa-Zulu Natal, as well as a Swazi candle shop selling hand-carved candles.
The Boma restaurant serves meals ranging from traditional Zulu dishes or crocodile steaks to grilled sandwiches and burgers.

Rooms

The Lodge offers four tastefully decorated rooms equipped with king-size beds, television, private bathroom with shower only, balcony/terrace, single beds, garden views, fan, heating, television, tea and coffee maker, and Wi-Fi.
Each unit has been built to offer maximum privacy.

Activities offered

Phezulu offers a scenic one-hour walk. Along the way, you will see wildebeest, impala, blesbok, zebra and giraffe, while learning about the region's medicinal plants and taking in remarkable views.
Phezulu also features a crocodile and snake park, where guests are guided by knowledgeable staff. You will learn interesting facts about crocodiles and snakes, meet Ramesis, the 90-year-old Nile crocodile, and have a hands-on experience with Cleo, the 42-kilogram Burmese python.
