The Fleurieu Peninsula is one of South Australia’s three main headlands. It is probably the best known, and for good reason: this peninsula is home to the city of Adelaide, as well as the ferry that takes you to Kangaroo Island, one of the main attractions of this part of Australia. It owes its distinctly French name to Nicolas Baudin, one of the continent’s famous explorers.
