The lodge is built on the side of a valley, perched above the small village of Huacahuasi, at an altitude of 3,800 m.
Run in partnership with the local community and aimed at protecting cultural heritage and the environment, this lodge offers an interesting glimpse into the evolving role of the Andean people in Cusco's culture and trade.
