At the heart of the small port of Siglufjörður, surrounded by the mountains of the Tröllaskagi peninsula, the Sigló Hotel offers a peaceful retreat facing the fjord. Its warm atmosphere, inspired by the village's maritime history, invites you to slow down and take in the setting.

From the hotel, set out on foot to explore Siglufjörður before returning, at the end of the day, to the outdoor hot tub facing the mountains and the waters of the fjord. A charming address for discovering the North of Iceland.

Layout

The hotel welcomes guests in four room types, and also has three restaurants, two of which are located in the fishing village.

Rooms

All rooms at the Sigló Hótel overlook the ocean or the mountains. Decorated mainly with wood and classic furnishings, they create a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere.
There are four room types: Classic Room, Deluxe Room, Suite and Junior Suite. All are equipped with TV, a safe, Wi-Fi and a bathroom.

SPA

The spa at Sigló Hótel looks out over the mountains and the town of Siglufjörður; sink into the warm water and take in the views through the windows, or let yourself be massaged and cared for.

Activities offered

The village where the hotel is located offers the chance to immerse yourself in Icelandic culture: you can visit craft museums, a museum of Icelandic poetry, or the Herring Era Museum, which traces many chapters of Icelandic history.
Outdoors, numerous activities are of course available, such as hiking, boat trips, excursions through the surrounding mountain passes and forests, or skiing and cross-country skiing.

Eyjafjörður, one of the country's longest fjords, is visited by a multitude of cetaceans swimming against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and icy expanses. On a guided boat excursion through this typically Icelandic landscape, you may spot white-beaked dolphins, humpback whales and perhaps even orcas.
