À vivre

The name “Ventus Australis”, meaning “Southern Winds” in Latin, reflects the extreme weather conditions characteristic of Tierra del Fuego, a decisive factor in the sociocultural development of a region that witnessed remarkable feats of exploration through Patagonia's southernmost channels.
The Ventus Australis was designed specifically to navigate South America's southernmost channels. Its distinctive features — including its size, length, engine power and exclusive capacity for 210 passengers — allow it to carry out the complex manoeuvres required for sailing the region's narrow channels and fjords, where no other company would venture.
Committed for years to preserving the natural environment and protecting nature, the company has established a unique partnership with the scientific community to contribute to the knowledge and preservation of these places and species, while pursuing an ambitious environmental policy.
A Chilean company committed to responsible ecotourism.
