À vivre

The Salar de Tara, located in the Los Flamencos National Reserve at over 4,500 meters above sea level, is a salt lake wilder than its neighbors in Atacama. Its rock formations, bordering the desert and sometimes volcanic, are approached only by Chilean flamingos and llamas, which find there the greenery and altitude suited to their daily life.
Crossing former grazing grounds, fertile valleys and wetlands, where greenery interrupts the landscape's usual coloring, you will reach the Monks of Pacana, slender rock formations resembling giant monk silhouettes watching over this beautiful place.
