Activities offered
The Volcano Hotel organises tailor-made excursions through Mountain Excursion. These guided activities focus on the main sites of southern Iceland, namely the Eyjafjallajökull, Sólheimajökull and Jökulsárlón glaciers, the Golden Circle, the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, and the rock formations of Reynisfjara and Dyrhólaey (with birdwatching as a bonus). For the more adventurous, a hike on the flanks of Katla, one of Iceland's most destructive volcanoes, is among the highlights of exploring Iceland.
Nearby, the village of Vík has a swimming pool, a shop and a handful of restaurants.
