A concept often imitated, rarely matched.
Chalkley, Tinyeleti, Kingston. The Tree Houses of Lion Sands Game Reserve, at the heart of the famous Sabie Sand, are quite simply extraordinary!
Disconnect from the world, for the space of one night.
Living in the trees, like Tarzan. I dreamed of it as a child.
Like many, I played at being an explorer and built my own hideout in the woods, or in the family garden. Torch in hand and none too reassured, I even spent the start of a few nights there — just long enough for a scare in the dark! Today, sleeping in a treehouse is an attainable dream at Lion Sands, a cosy nest version set in the treetops, with the Milky Way slowly drifting overhead.
It is in the late afternoon, after your safari, that your guide will accompany you to the “platform”, where a delicious dinner awaits. All the treehouses are built securely, raised above the ground, keeping animals at a comfortable distance.
A romantic evening, a magical night beneath the stars. Time passes too quickly, and early morning is already here.
Your guide returns to collect you for your morning safari.
A truly unique experience, at the heart of the African bush, beneath the Milky Way.
