Guided visit of the historic center of Salvador, known as Salvador de Bahia, starting with the upper town, the Pelourinho, with its magnificent colonial mansions and baroque churches. Salvador has preserved its African identity through capoeira and Candomblé worship. At the port, visit the Mercado Modelo, a vast traditional market. The tour continues through the more modern lower town stretching along the ocean. You can visit the popular Porto da Barra beach or the livelier Praia do Farol da Barra. In the evening, you may attend a traditional Bahian dance or capoeira performance, or simply relax on a terrace, sample Bahian flavors and take in the picturesque daily life of the old quarters.
