The most fun and fastest way to get around on the water! Kitesurfing is nonetheless a high-risk sport that, while it doesn't require great physical strength, demands careful, safety-focused learning. Cuba's north coast is an ideal spot for this practice thanks to the wind direction, shallow waters, and dozens of kilometres of deserted beaches. This discovery package allows you to get familiar with the equipment and technique of kitesurfing in a small group with a French-speaking instructor.
From November to April, Cayo Guillermo offers perfect conditions for kitesurfing. With an instructor and an assistant on hand, you'll get both theoretical and practical instruction on the sand before moving into the water, which only happens at the next level. Indeed, before getting your swimsuit wet, it's essential to cover all the fundamentals: risk awareness, body positioning, safety, navigation rules, and so on. Kitesurfing thus offers a different way to enjoy Cuba's idyllic beaches — more active and sporting than the usual idleness.
