Lac Titicaca
All 18 rooms offer a view over the mystical Andean lake, cradle of the legendary Inca empire, which is still home to some of Peru's most remote communities. Responsible, sustainable development lies at the heart of Titilaka's philosophy. Over 90% of the staff are local residents, and the lodge sources local food products wherever possible, as part of an economic model centred on preserving Andean traditions.
The hotel has a contemporary-style restaurant and bar, as well as reading and multimedia rooms. It also includes patios on stilts and 2 private beaches with thatched-roof palapas.
The elegant rooms with lake views have a seating area by the window and underfloor heating. They are equipped with an iPod docking station, free Wi-Fi and a minibar. Some feature a tea and coffee maker. TV is not available.
