As night falls over Karnak, the sound-and-light show begins quietly at the temple entrance. The audience is invited to sit facing the gigantic pylons, already beautifully illuminated. Narrating voices come to life, retracing the history of Thebes and the feats of the pharaohs who built this sacred site.
As the scenes unfold, coloured lighting reveals the details of the reliefs, hieroglyphs and columns, while traditional Egyptian music accompanies the narrative. The show moves through the different dynasties, uncovering the legends of Amun-Ra, the mysteries of ancient rituals and the grandeur of this ancient civilisation.
The highlight comes when the play of light animates the great hypostyle hall, revealing its 98 columns in all their splendour. It is total immersion: you can almost hear the footsteps of the priests, feel the presence of the past. The show lasts around an hour and a half, leaving a lasting impression of magic and living history.
