At the heart of the Okavango Delta, within a private 33,000-hectare concession, Duba Explorers lies amid the winding waterways of Botswana's land and the Okavango river. It is a singular landscape of woodland, islets and floodplains, home to thousands of animals that connoisseurs come to admire.

Many consider the Duba plains to be the Maasai Mara of the Okavango, given the sheer volume of wildlife found here. Between 4x4 safaris and boat trips to discover the local splendours, your experience will be rich in discoveries!

Duba Explorers Camp is a romantic camp offering the feel of an authentic, high-end 1920s expedition safari.
This intimate camp, with its own private crossing area within the concession and set apart from Duba Plains, consists of five expedition-style tents with surprising comfort, in light, airy canvas, set on a slightly raised deck, each with views over the surrounding floodplain.
The main area sits beneath a marquee on a raised deck, with a dining and lounge space that opens onto the outdoors on all sides.

After nightfall, enjoy the campfire as you look back on the day's adventures.

Rooms

Each tent has a private veranda, a small desk and a bathroom with double sink and indoor shower. Fans and the airy design keep a comfortable climate for rest and relaxation.

Activities offered

Duba Explorers Camp combines a range of activities. Guests can explore the channels of the Okavango Delta by mokoro or boat when water levels allow, as well as 4x4 safaris. Day and night safaris take place in specially equipped vehicles, fitted with raised roofs, photographic bars and multi-plug inverters. They can accommodate up to 6 people.
Guided walks with qualified, armed guides are also available.
You’ll regularly spot a wide variety of species, including lechwe, kudu, tsessebe and giraffe. Herds of elephant and buffalo move through the camp, and hippos carve their own channels and paths through the marshes each day. Lions, leopards and hyenas are also regularly seen. Birdlife is abundant, making the area a haven for keen birdwatchers.
