À vivre

Over the course of a week, you'll sail in the wake of early explorers through the pack ice up to the 80th parallel north. Following the west coast of Spitsbergen, you'll have every opportunity to observe wildlife.
Though this rocky island is covered in mountains and glaciers, its cliffs and vast fjords shelter an extremely varied and thriving ecosystem.
Exploring much of the region offers a chance to spot the Arctic's most iconic animal, the polar bear.

Seasons

Our seasonal advice

Expecting the unexpected is part of the concept and the appeal of this expedition. On any journey to remote regions, the expedition team must take into account several factors such as sea and ice conditions as well as weather before deciding on the precise route. The itinerary described here is provided for guidance only and aims to give an overview of the possible adventures to be had on this voyage. Please note, however, that no specific itinerary can be guaranteed. By the same token, we cannot guarantee the presence of all the wildlife described in this brochure, even though everything is planned to maximise sighting opportunities. Your expedition team will draw on its extensive experience observing wildlife in its natural habitat, but the presence of certain bird or marine species cannot be guaranteed.
