Arabian Oryx is a permanent tented camp located in the Sharqiya Sands desert, around 11km from the nearest town. Despite its remote setting, the camp is sizeable, with around sixty canvas tents.
The décor is simple but offers every modern comfort.
The camp's highlights include a large campfire area, with rugs laid directly on the sand for dining under the stars, as well as numerous activities such as sandboarding, 4x4 safaris and camel rides.
Meals are served buffet-style, with a wide choice of local dishes.

Layout

All of Arabian Oryx's Bedouin-style tents are fitted with tiled floors.
The private bathroom has a shower.
There is a typical restaurant serving breakfast and a buffet dinner.
Guests can savour the various traditional meals, cooked daily and served around the campfire. Free tea and coffee are served throughout the day at Arabian Oryx camp.

Rooms

The camp has around sixty canvas tents, all with solid furniture and every comfort (air conditioning, small fridge, coffee maker and private bathroom with shower).

Activities offered

Dune bashing is offered by the camp, which also organises desert safaris with a private camp.
Camel rides are also available.
