Built in 1992, the 50 Years of Victory is one of five nuclear-powered icebreakers operated by the “Murmansk Shipping Company” for voyages to the North Pole. The 50 Years of Victory is a very recent nuclear icebreaker, having left the shipyards in December 2007 after 10 years of construction. It is the most advanced icebreaker in the world, and belongs to the Russian Navy.

Layout

The 50 Years Victory can accommodate 128 passengers and 140 crew members.

The limited capacity allows for high-quality accommodation while preserving the spirit of an expedition ship. English-speaking naturalist guides lead landings and conduct lectures.

The ship has a conference room, a bar and lounge, a library, a fitness room, 2 saunas and a pool. European 220-volt, 50Hz electrical outlets, with 2 round-pin plugs.
