Kenya
Masai Mara
The camp, luxurious and intimate (capacity: 12 travellers), offers accommodation and dining of very high standing, comparable to the best lodges.
Tembo Bush Camp is ideally located at the heart of the reserve, so no time is lost queuing at an access gate to the reserve morning and evening.
Safari schedules are flexible and designed for the most demanding photographers and lovers of wide-open spaces, from first light to sunset. You even have the option of going on safari all day, should the situation call for it, or simply if you wish.
Each vehicle holds a permit to drive off-track, which multiplies and optimises photographic opportunities.
Your stay is fully customisable: several packages are available, based on one to four people sharing the same vehicle, between 8 and 15 days, transport from Nairobi by air or by road, a privatised tent, a vehicle fitted out for ground-level photography, and so on.
Many photographers have long known Jackson Naurori, considered one of the very best guides in the Masai Mara. An exceptionally talented professional guide, Jackson knows the Mara like the back of his hand.
Kenya has been independent since 1963. Yet in the Masai Mara, all the companies linked to tourism — a sector vital to the local economy — are partly or wholly owned by foreign capital or operators.
Jackson broke with this economic pattern, after guiding the world’s leading professional photographers for more than 10 years, by fulfilling his dream: founding the first 100% Maasai-owned company, “Tembo by Jackson”, through which he hopes to introduce a wider audience to his region, his community and his culture.
Deeply committed to supporting his community’s development, Jackson is now held up as an example, and his tightly knit team, made up exclusively of Maasai, is very proud to take part in this ambitious and meaningful project, which seeks to reconcile tourism with sustainable development.
Jackson and his team are ready to organise the safari of your dreams, but also, if you wish, to share their Maasai identity and rich culture with you with infectious passion.
Numerous activities are available on request:
Visit to a Maasai village;
Visit to a local market;
Visit to a school;
Hot-air balloon safari.
