Built on polished, raised wooden platforms with thatched roofs, Jongomero's central area offers understated luxury that takes nothing away from the beauty of its surroundings. The lounge is divided into two sections, with sumptuous sofas and African artwork. The dining area offers both large and small private tables, allowing guests to mingle or enjoy their privacy, depending on their preference.
Velvet armchairs invite you to sit and take in the view over the river and bush. A small library is also available to guests.
A pool is available to guests, with views over the Jongomero River.
The camp is unfenced, and once night falls, all movement around camp is done under escort.
Made up of 10 spacious tents built on raised wooden platforms with makuti roofs, on the riverbank, Jongomero offers both privacy and luxury.
Each tented suite, around 50m2, sits on a stilted deck and is sheltered by a striking makuti structure. Overlooking the bank of the dry Jongomero riverbed, the vantage point is ideal for watching elephants, kudus, baboons and other bush animals go by.
A terrace with a comfortable daybed awaits for some downtime between safaris.
With polished wooden floors and thatched roofs, these hybrid tents are tastefully furnished with a super king-size bed, mosquito nets and touches of leather and reclaimed dhow wood. The private bathrooms are equipped with hot water showers and elegant basins. A desk, a fan, a dressing area and a private bathroom complete the furnishings.
All suites are luxuriously equipped with: organic cotton sateen bed linen, organic cotton gauze bathrobes, organic shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, hairdryer, safe, Wi-Fi, bed canopy fans, walkie-talkies for communicating with lodge staff, USB charging points, and chilled filtered water on request.
Jongomero Bush Manor can accommodate families or 2 couples of friends, with its 2 luxurious, spacious suites connected by a covered walkway leading to the main area, its private pool and its terrace overlooking the seasonal Jongomero river.
Private 4x4 safaris, bush walks depending on the season, and nights under canvas in the bush are on the programme.
Bush walks are also possible at certain times of year (park fees payable on site) but are reserved for adults over 16.
