With spacious tented suites set directly on the beach or nestled within their own private gardens, the resort aims to offer quiet living with a light footprint amid lush tropical surroundings. This translates into generous indoor and outdoor spaces and extensive use of natural materials – wood, stone, fabric – that blend into the environment.

Rooms

All suites feature a bed and sitting area, a private indoor bathroom, an outdoor shower and a private terrace with loungers, as well as generous outdoor space. The tents are made with the highest quality fabrics, and all accommodations are air-conditioned and fan-cooled.

There are three types of accommodation, each with its own identity, named in Sinhala, Tamil and English, the three official languages of Sri Lanka, paying tribute to the magnificent Palmyrah trees that gave the property its name:

Palam Suites
The Palam Suites, meaning “fruit” in Tamil, look directly out to sea. Set in the shade of the old Karpaha coconut plantation, they sit a stone's throw from the beach and offer a calming sea view, with fishermen languidly hauling in their nets visible from the private terrace. With a total area of 110 sqm (60 sqm indoors plus 50 sqm of private terrace and outdoor shower) and a king-size bed, this is the ideal suite for couples seeking the soothing calm of the sea.

Kolaya Suites
The Kolaya Suites, taking their name from the Sinhala word for “leaf”, sit within their own lush private gardens, with Palmyrah trees, pandanus and other native plant species typical of the east coast. With a total area of 90 sqm (50 sqm indoors and 40 sqm of private terrace with outdoor shower), they come with a private garden of around 800 sqm and a king-size bed.

Seed Suites
The Seed Suites, also set within their own private garden offering plenty of space for children to play or friends to share a sundowner, comprise two full suites designed for families and groups of friends. These suites have a total area of 180 sqm (100 sqm indoors and 80 sqm of terrace and outdoor showers) and include two bedrooms (which can be configured as two king-size beds or one king-size bed and two single beds), two indoor showers, two outdoor showers, a large living room, a private terrace and a private garden of around 1,000 sqm. Designed for a couple with two children or two couples, different configurations are available to best suit your needs, making it ideal for families and friends.
