Staying at Jaguar Suites places you at the heart of the Pantanal's jaguar-watching area, saving you the back-and-forth trip to Porto Jofre (around 45 minutes each way). You're on site when the light is best for photography, and, more importantly, that precious time is spent observing and photographing rather than speeding along the river.
Here, your days are dedicated to jaguar watching, by small motorboat, along the banks of the Três Irmãos, Cuiabá and Piquiri rivers.
A typical day: you wake before sunrise to hot coffee and breakfast, then set off on a 4-hour safari in search of jaguars and the giant otters that share their territory. Return to the hotel boat by late morning.
Wildlife passes the boat constantly, so we recommend keeping your equipment close at hand!
In the afternoon, you begin a second 4-hour safari ending at sunset. Back on board for dinner, the evening closes with English-language scientific talks on Pantanal species such as the jaguar, giant otter, capybara and ocelot.
