Beagle Expeditions offers a unique safari experience at the heart of the Okavango Delta. This mobile expedition, called The Kweene Trails, explores a remote region of the Kweene river system, in the western part of the delta, accessible only by helicopter. Here, the sense of isolation is total.
The concept is built around a mobile camp, set as close to nature as possible, in an exclusive environment, with no other human presence, within a private concession.
The experience is designed as a deep immersion in landscapes that remain untouched, between arid zones and flooded plains.
Founded by an experienced family team, Beagle Expeditions places the emphasis on authenticity, flexibility and the quality of guiding.
Far from the classic safari, the pace here is slower, more immersive.
Each expedition, of 4 nights minimum, allows two distinct ecosystems of the delta to be explored, revealing the full richness of this exceptional territory.

Layout

Beagle Expeditions offers an exclusive, flexible experience: stays can be privatised for up to 10 people or shared with other travellers.
Each expedition lasts a minimum of 4 nights, giving guests the time needed to fully immerse themselves in the environment and enjoy a slow-paced, personalised safari.
The camp is an exclusive mobile camp, set up solely for your group. It includes up to 4 double tents and 1 family tent.
The common areas are simple yet elegant: a main tent for meals, a lounge corner with rugs and cushions, a bar area, and a campfire for the evenings and cool mornings.
The whole camp is entirely open to nature, with no barriers, allowing total immersion in the wild surroundings.
Meals are prepared on-site, around the fire, with fresh, healthy, generous cuisine adapted to each guest.

For your children

Children are accepted from age 12 in a shared camp. No minimum age applies when the camp is booked exclusively (up to 10 people).

Rooms

The tents are spacious, meru-style, designed to open widely onto the outdoors. They offer direct immersion in the bush, while guaranteeing comfort and privacy.
Each tent has comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton linen, a storage area with wardrobe, as well as a private bathroom with bucket shower (hot or cold water) and eco-friendly toilets.
The overall approach favours discreet luxury, in harmony with the natural surroundings.

Activities offered

Activities include 4x4 safaris, guided walks and mokoro exploration depending on the season.
Walking safaris are an essential part of the experience, offering a unique sensory approach to nature. Mokoro outings, possible mainly from May to August, offer a silent discovery of the channels.
Transfers between camps can be made on foot, by vehicle or by dugout canoe, as a genuine expedition. Helicopter flights can also be arranged as an option.
