Greenland Basecamp
Groenland
Est du Groenland
The camp consists of just eight tented cabins, each with its own private terrace for contemplating the landscape in complete privacy.
A communal yurt and a dedicated dining tent bring guests together around the meals prepared daily by the camp’s chef.
Fully dismantled at the end of each season, the camp was designed to minimise its footprint on this exceptional Arctic environment.
The camp consists of eight individual safari-style tent-cabins, each accommodating two people. Set on raised platforms and built from particularly resistant canvas, all of them feature a private veranda overlooking the bay and, in the distance, the Greenland ice cap. A privileged setting from which to take in the Arctic's grand landscapes in complete tranquillity.
Spacious and welcoming, the tents are fitted with individual heating, especially appreciated on cool nights, even though the long summer days often bring a relatively mild, dry climate. Each one includes two single beds with warm duvets and comfortable pillows, a bench, a rug, hanging storage for clothes, as well as a private, odourless dry toilet and a washbasin.
Hot showers are available in a separate sanitary building, with distinct areas for men and women.
