Seeing big cats

The safari holy grail

Seeing lions, tigers, leopards and other big cats

They are very often the masters of their territory and, whether through the difficulty of photographing them, their beauty or their behaviour, they fascinate us as observers.

In Africa, lions, cheetahs, leopards and African wild dogs are often among the top expectations on a safari. Pumas and jaguars are just as sought-after in South America. A “nature” trip to India always falls flat if you don't spot the Bengal tiger. And what about the snow leopard, the black panther or the Siberian tiger!

We have selected here a few examples of tailor-made trips and safaris that will help you optimise your chances of observing this or that predator. But nothing can be guaranteed. Nature remains unpredictable, and that is no doubt what makes these animals all the more fascinating.
