Tailor-made trip to Finland and Lapland

Boreal forests, lakes as far as the eye can see, the Baltic archipelago and vast Arctic expanses: Finland offers a rare nature, one that has remained on a human scale.
Here, travel unfolds slowly, far from the crowds, at the pace of the seasons.
This is what we love, and what we design for you.

Finland's regions
In the south, Helsinki and its archipelago blend Nordic design and culture. Inland, the land of a thousand lakes is best discovered by canoe, on foot or from a remote lodge. In the east, near the Russian border, the forests shelter brown bears and elk, observed from hides. In the north, Lapland stretches beyond the Arctic Circle: hills, wild rivers and the land of the Sámi people.

Our way of traveling in Finland
We select human-scale lodges, wooden cabins, kotas and Finnish horse ranches rather than large tourist structures. Activities are chosen according to your wishes: sledding expeditions, horseback riding, sauna and ice bathing, fishing, hiking.

When to go to Finland?
In winter, from December to early April, Lapland is covered in snow: dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, nights in cabins open to the sky. Northern lights are possible, but the weather decides. In summer, daylight stretches on: midnight sun in June and July beyond the Arctic Circle, canoeing on the lakes, bear hides in the east of the country.

A trip designed with you
Each trip is built around your wishes, the season and the pace you're looking for — not from a catalog.
Tell us about your project: our specialists will take care of the rest!

When to go to Finland

Budget to expect

The budget for a tailor-made trip to Finland depends on the season, duration, chosen experiences and desired level of comfort.

In summer, budget around 2500 {devise} to 4000 {devise} per person for an 8 to 12-day self-drive itinerary, taking in lakes, boreal forests and Nordic villages, with a rental car and characterful accommodations. For a stay in exceptional lodges, with private experiences, fine dining and little-known addresses deep in nature, plan for 4000 {devise} to 7000 {devise} per person instead.

In winter, a 7 to 10-day trip to Finnish Lapland — combining dog sledding, snowmobiling, northern lights watching and nights in unusual accommodations — comes to around 4500 {devise} to 8000 {devise} per person. For an exclusive immersion in the Far North, with a high-end lodge, full board, private activities and personalized service, the budget ranges between 8000 {devise} and 14000 {devise} per person.

These estimates vary according to departure dates, availability, flights, transfers, the type of accommodation and the activities chosen. As each trip is entirely tailor-made, we adapt the itinerary and services to your wishes.

Expert advice

For a first discovery of Finland, we recommend a stay of 10 days to 2 weeks to explore the country’s signature landscapes, from Helsinki’s Nordic design to the forests and the great lakes region, with a getaway deep in nature to discover the Finnish art of living and its traditional saunas.

3 to 4 weeks is ideal for traveling the country from south to north, discovering the vast wilderness of Lapland, observing bears and reindeer, meeting Sámi culture and living unique experiences through the seasons: northern lights in winter, midnight sun in summer, hiking and canoe trips at the heart of the great outdoors.

For a week or a long weekend, we favor a specific region, to allow for genuine immersion even with limited time.

Word of caution

We love Finland for its wild expanses, its authenticity and its little-known addresses. But we are convinced that this exceptional nature deserves to be protected. Faced with the exploitation of old-growth forests and the weakening of wild habitats, we advocate a more responsible form of tourism, one that favors committed accommodations, respectful wildlife encounters and the discovery of local traditions, staying as far as possible from large tourist structures.
Traveling in Finland also means choosing to preserve what makes it so precious.
