The spirit of the journey

To discover Komodo, a land-and-sea combination is ideal, pairing underwater exploration with island hikes in search of the dragons.
The Komodo Islands are among those mysterious, almost mythical places secretly dreamed of while watching a National Geographic documentary. Today, these islands, their pristine beaches, volcanoes, Komodo dragons and remarkable dive sites are accessible for two days, a week or longer, depending on what you’re after.

Adding a cruise to the stay brings a convivial dimension and an extra layer of relaxation to the journey.

THE KOMODO DRAGONS
You step back into prehistoric times for an encounter with legendary animals you won’t soon forget.
Accompanied by a ranger, you’ll land on Komodo Island, currently the only island where this giant monitor lizard can still be found in the wild.
Beyond the dragons, you’ll also spot deer, wild boar and birds.

You’ll spend 3 nights at the Plataran Komodo.

LUXURY CRUISE
The adventure begins in Labuan Bajo aboard the Ambasi for 4 days / 3 nights. The itinerary includes a visit to Rinca with a close approach to the famous Komodo dragon, a hike at Padar to take in landscapes like nowhere else, and snorkelling at Pink Beach, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The programme also includes beach visits and opportunities to swim with manta rays, turtles, reef sharks and a myriad of colourful tropical fish.

On returning from the cruise, you’ll enjoy a further 3-night stay at the Plataran Komodo.
