Birds, Bears and Belugas, an exceptional adventure

Example of a tailor-made journey, fully customisable

Country

Canada

Suggested duration

8 days / 7 nights

Ideal periods

July - August

The spirit of the journey

Birds, bears and belugas is the theme of this genuine safari, offered in July and August. It combines the pleasure of observing polar bears and beluga whales during the summer season with the comfort of a true lodge. Set against the backdrop of the Canadian tundra, this is our most diverse itinerary, ideal for families.

Beyond belugas and bears, you will also have the chance to see numerous wild species typical of Canada. Watch for caribou, red and Arctic foxes, wolves, and an astonishing variety of birds. In fact, it is not uncommon for keen birdwatchers to spot 100 different species over the course of their trip. Listen closely too, for the calls of sub-Arctic wildlife, including the distant howl of wolves.

This expedition offers the chance to see polar bears outside the traditional spring season. The contrast between the summer colours of the flora and the bears' ivory coats makes them easier to spot.

What's more, the lodge has been strategically built on the shores of Hudson Bay, near the mouth of the Seal River, offering a remarkable view of the region's wildlife and flora.

Welcome to our Birds, Bears and Belugas safari.
