The spirit of the journey

Some journeys are not built around an itinerary. They are built around a requirement: never to wait, never to transit, to reach areas that commercial flights cannot. This private plane safari in southern Africa connects Zambia, Botswana and Namibia on a simple logic: every hour counts, every landing is a destination.

The private aircraft here is not an added comfort. It is a tool for exploration. It allows landings on laterite airstrips at the heart of private concessions, minutes from the wildlife, with no connections and no transit. Flying over the Okavango Delta or the dunes of Sossusvlei in a dedicated aircraft offers a reading of the territory that nothing else provides.

The journey opens in Zambia, at Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, seen from the air before being felt on the ground, in its roar and constant spray. In season, the Zambezi can also be explored by boat at sunset, in a setting of rare calm.

In Botswana, the aircraft lands directly within the private concessions of the Okavango Delta or Chobe National Park. Elephants, lions, leopards, African wild dogs. Botswana's wildlife is among the densest and best preserved in Africa. The selected lodges, in exclusive-use areas, deliberately host only a limited number of guests.

Namibia closes the itinerary with superlatives of its own: the dunes of Sossusvlei, among the tallest in the world, black rhinos in Damaraland, desert-adapted lions and dense elephant concentrations in Etosha. Vast, little-visited territories, which the private aircraft allows you to link together without losing a single day of travel.

This journey is planned down to the smallest detail: aircraft configuration, take-off slots timed to the morning light, lodge selection coordinated with wildlife seasons, and a dedicated team available at every stage. A travel architecture that removes every constraint, leaving only what matters.

The aircraft used is a Cessna Grand Caravan C208 or a Cessna 210, ideal for this type of safari.
It is chartered exclusively for your party throughout the journey.

LIVINGSTONE (Victoria Falls, Zambia side)
Your journey begins with one of the most grandiose sights in southern Africa: Victoria Falls.
You spend one night in the immediate vicinity of the falls, in a legendary 5-star hotel.
Set on the banks of the Zambezi, a few hundred metres upstream from the falls, your hotel offers direct, free and unlimited access to the falls on the Zambia side.

Survol des chutes Victoria en hélicoptère, Chutes Victoria, Zimbabwe

Chutes Victoria, Zimbabwe

CHOBE NATIONAL PARK (Botswana)
In the morning, transfer to the airport to meet your experienced pilot-guide, then depart by private aircraft for a scenic flight over Victoria Falls and the mighty Zambezi River.
You then head west along the Zambezi to reach Kasane, gateway to Botswana. Road transfer to the lodge followed by an afternoon safari.
Boat safaris on the Chobe River let you take in the landscape and watch the many animals that come to drink along its banks — a relaxing, pleasant experience ending with a striking sunset over the river. A genuinely memorable moment.
You spend 1 night at a luxury lodge, ideally located within the park.

Chobe Game Lodge

OKAVANGO DELTA – Water camp (Botswana)
Morning safari in Chobe National Park, then after lunch, depart west for the delta.
The flight begins at low altitude over the Chobe River to spot elephants, buffalo and numerous hippos, before climbing higher and crossing the bush toward one of the most extraordinary ecosystems on earth, the Okavango Delta.
You land near your camp for the night, where activities are mainly conducted on the water.
You spend one night at a permanent luxury camp at the heart of the delta.

OKAVANGO DELTA – Land camp (Botswana)
In the morning, you set out on a mokoro or motorboat safari in search of hippos, elephants and predators.
After lunch, you fly across the delta to reach your next lodge, a land camp this time.
Set on a permanent island within the delta, in a strategic position, the camp has a well-earned reputation for the quality of its safaris.
The area holds a significant number of predators, including leopards and lions.
The delta is also a genuine haven for photographers, thanks to its distinctive vegetation.
A typical African bushland landscape of palms, lagoons, channels and papyrus forest.
You spend two nights at a permanent luxury camp known for intense, engaging safaris.

KAOKOLAND (Namibia)
Morning safari in the delta, then after a hearty breakfast, it’s time for a striking change of scenery.
Today brings one of the most dramatic landscape contrasts of the whole journey.
You fly by private aircraft to Maun, then on to the remarkable Kaokoland region of Namibia.
You fly over the rugged mountains of Kaokoland, an isolated and spectacular region in the northwest of the country.
You arrive at the heart of Kaokoland, at an outstanding lodge, where you spend two nights.
A remarkable place, where you can take in pristine, dramatic landscapes, meet the Himba people and go on safari in search of local wildlife, including the famous desert elephants.

Serra Cafema Camp

Situated in one of Namibia's most striking landscapes, on the border with Angola, amid arid desert, sand dunes, mountains and lush vegetation, Serra Cafema is one of Namibia's most remote camps.
Hartmann's Valley: a wild, mountainous territory in the extreme northwest of Namibia, where black rock meets the red sand of the Namib Desert. Serra Cafema, named after the Angolan mountain range that dominates the region, sits on the banks of the Kunene River, the natural border with Angola.

Serra Cafema offers one of Namibia's most memorable experiences. The camp shares its vast territory with the Himba people, Africa's last true nomadic community.
Hosting only a handful of travellers at a time, it allows for authentic encounters and exchanges with the Himba tribes of the valley. Hartmann's Valley is also a vast playground for adventure: on-foot hikes, day and night 4x4 excursions, boat trips on the Kunene River.

Nature as it was at the dawn of the world, at the heart of lunar landscapes.

SWAKOPMUND (Namibia)
After breakfast, you continue your fly-in safari heading south over a region of sand dunes and sandy plains blending with black rock mountain peaks.
You fly over the Skeleton Coast and its striking landscapes, then climb higher to take in the Etendeka Mountains, until you reach some of the most astonishing geological formations — volcanic plains marked with natural, at times sculpted, patterns. Seen from the air, it feels almost otherworldly.
Late in the afternoon, you land in Swakopmund, a characterful German-style seaside town on Africa’s Atlantic coast … a genuinely surreal setting.
One night at a 4-star hotel.

NAMIBRAND NATURE RESERVE (Namibia)
Morning cruise at Walvis Bay, where you can see large numbers of flamingos, seals, pelicans and dolphins…
You then fly to the NamibRand Nature Reserve, near Sossusvlei, for the most remarkable flight in Namibia. You follow the coastline south, where the dunes plunge directly into the sea — an exceptional sight.
4×4 vehicles await your arrival to take you to your 5-star lodge, set amid a lunar landscape, where you spend two nights.
The following day, at sunrise, a low-altitude flight takes you to the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei before reaching Sesriem, where a 4×4 vehicle awaits to take you into the dunes.
In the afternoon, you fly to Namibia’s capital, Windhoek.
You spend a final night at a luxury hotel before your international flight.
