The spirit of the journey

Explore in depth one of the most remote regions in the world with this cruise to Greenland's essentials: an expedition to the south coast and Disko Bay.
You will sail around this captivating island, starting from the icy waters of the still little-known east coast. You will then voyage to the lush southern tip, before ending with the charming communities and glaciers of the west coast. Spectacular, untouched natural wonders await you wherever you go.
Each visit to the colourful villages dotting the shoreline will immerse you in Greenland's distinct culture and history. The rugged landscape, dominated by fjords, glaciers, mountains and green valleys, will also take your breath away.

The Arctic has inspired explorers for centuries, and this expedition lets you discover why. Join us on this unforgettable adventure!

You will have the chance to observe Arctic wildlife such as whales, seals and seabirds.
Ilulissat Icefjord and the Kujataa agricultural settlement, two UNESCO World Heritage sites, are included in the (flexible) itinerary of the expedition. Meet local residents, discover traditional Inuit settlements and visit Norse historical sites, witnesses to a fascinating and little-known culture.
Zodiac cruises will allow you to explore icebergs, glaciers, fjords and more. Immerse yourself in the Arctic’s icy realm, and why not try your hand at polar kayaking.

Croisière vers la Baie de Disko

Day 1 - Arrival in Reykjavik, Iceland
Meet in the Icelandic capital and head to your hotel. You will have the day free to explore the city on your own.

Day 2 - Embarkation day in Reykjavik
This afternoon, you will board your ship and begin your expedition.

Day 3 - At sea

Days 4 and 5 - East Greenland
Your exploration of Greenland begins in the east, one of the island's least visited and most remote regions. Your days of sailing along the coast will be guided by weather and ice conditions, with each day and each excursion bringing new discoveries. The region is a spectacle in itself, offering a mesmerising labyrinth of vast glaciers, rugged mountains and breathtaking fjords.

Days 6 and 7 - Exploring South Greenland
As you sail, you will explore the fertile coast of southern Greenland. Known as the Arctic Patagonia, this region is as rich in dramatic scenery as it is in history and culture. Here it is easy to understand why the Viking Erik the Red named Greenland “the green land”: everywhere you will be rewarded with panoramic views over icy waters surrounded by high mountains, crystalline waterfalls and strikingly lush, green valleys.

Days 8 to 13 - Exploring West Greenland
With its spectacular glaciers, mountainous landscapes and lively communities, the west coast of Greenland will captivate you. Heading north, we hope to make daily Zodiac excursions from the ship to explore local bays and channels and landing sites, discover some of the picturesque villages scattered across the region's islands and fjords, and sail through some of Greenland's most scenic spots.

Day 14 - Disembarkation at Kangerlussuaq and return to Reykjavik
Enjoy one last Zodiac ride back to shore, where you will board your charter flight to Reykjavik, Iceland. On arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel for a final night.

Day 15 - Departure from Reykjavik, Iceland

Embracing the unexpected is part of the concept and the appeal of this expedition. On any journey to remote regions, the expedition team must weigh several factors — sea and ice conditions, as well as weather — before deciding on the precise route. The itinerary described here is provided for guidance only and is intended to give an overview of the possible adventures to be had on this journey.
