MIAVANA ISLAND
After a night flight, you’ll get your first taste of Madagascar’s tropical warmth upon arriving directly on the island of Nosy Be.
Following a few quick entry formalities, a 1-hour helicopter flight takes you over mountains, baobabs and shipwrecks scattered along the wild coastline before landing gently on a remote island at the northern tip of Madagascar.
It is at Time + Tide Miavana that you’ll be welcomed, for a dream stay.
A protected marine area of 15,000 hectares, ideal for snorkelling and swimming.
This first ultra-luxury eco-lodge in Madagascar hides some fifteen private villas within a secluded sanctuary, owned by the Time + Tide group, which also operates luxury tented camps and lodges in Zambia. The architects were behind the prestigious North Island in the Seychelles.
A fine promise!
The natural elements of sea, sand and air meet elegantly through inspired interiors and textures that celebrate the island’s extraordinary setting.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom villas offer plenty of space (minimum 450 square metres), a private pool with sea views, a comfortable lounge, 24-hour butler service and a well-stocked kitchenette. Each villa has an additional bathroom and a study, which can be converted into a child’s room.
From your villa, you can explore the island using the electric bikes and buggies provided.
You can also relax in the huge pool or on the lounge’s rooftop.
In the evening, between forest and beach, dinners are served with your feet in the sand, in a romantic atmosphere.
On the programme during your stay at Time + Tide Miavana:
– Lemur watching on the island (directly from your villa!)
– PADI-qualified scuba diving (unlimited!), snorkelling from your villa
– Big game and pelagic fishing (fly fishing, boat fishing and deep-sea fishing)
– Fine dining and wines
– Picnic on a deserted private island, part of the archipelago
– Helicopter adventures over the Tsingy, rainforests and endangered lemurs
– Turtle watching (seasonal)
– Water sports: water skiing, kayaking or paddleboarding

The Time + Tide Foundation is also highly active in preserving Nosy Ankao and its archipelago of five islands.
