An original 11-day cruise to experience the exceptional while discovering Greenland's east coast in spring. In this season, when a thick layer of ice guards the shores and daylight stretches endlessly, step into the shoes of an explorer.

Day by day

The main stages of your cruise:

– the Ammassalik region, made up of mountains, fjords and icebergs. You will witness the Arctic landscape transformed by the distinctive light of the midnight sun. At this time of year, the sun sits low on the horizon, casting a magical range of blue, magenta, violet and pink tones.
– crossing the Denmark Strait, with the possibility of sighting blue whales and humpback whales.
– the Blosseville coast, entirely unexplored, with its thick layer of pack ice drifting directly from the North Pole.
– meeting the Inuit people as winter draws to a close, sharing unique moments on the sea ice, discovering their spring traditions and taking a dog sled ride..

Activités à bord du Commandant Charcot

En plus des traditionnelles sorties en zodiac, de nouvelles activités sont proposées sur la plupart des prochaines départs.
Par exemple, vous pourrez glisser en kayak de mer entre les icebergs, effectuer des randonnées à pied ou en raquettes. Les plongeurs expérimentés pourront plonger avec des bouteilles le long d'un iceberg ou d'un tombant entre anémones, coraux mous ou isopodes géants.
En Arctique, vous pourrez vous lancer dans des balades en traîneau à chiens ou essayer la pêche blanche.
Vous pourrez aussi expérimenter l'aéroglisseur, sur terre comme sur mer, pour rejoindre des territoires normalement difficiles, voire impossibles d'accès. Ils vous déposeront au cœur d'un univers extrême, fait de glace et de silence.
