Example of a journey with 8 nights on the ground.
1 night in a hotel in Ulaanbaatar, 6 nights in ger camps, 1 night in a guest ger in a nomadic camp, with your private guide.

Suggested itinerary:

KHUSTAIN NURUU
Barely an hour after leaving the capital Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian steppe already unfolds, its gentle hills dotted with herds of horses and sheep. Modern buildings give way to ger camps scattered here and there, white mushrooms decorating the vast green expanse.
It is in this beautiful region of mountains, rivers, sand and steppe that Przewalski’s horses were reintroduced to Mongolia. These prehistoric horses roam free here, offering a rare opportunity to observe them at close range. Lunch and overnight at a ger camp near sand dunes that herald the Gobi.
In the mid-afternoon, departure towards Khustain Nuruu National Park, with horse watching at the end of the day — a privileged moment to observe these animals.
Overnight at the ger camp.

BATKHAN NATURE RESERVE
Crossing magnificent landscapes to Bayan Gobi.
Stop and walk on the dunes to take in the surrounding scenery, with the imposing mountains of the Khangai massif in the distance, tinged blue.
Arrival at the Batkhan Nature Reserve, where golden sand dunes contrast with lush green steppe.
A small river runs through the valley. A few gers on the horizon. A breathtaking landscape. Here, you are at the heart of Mongolia.
With a bit of luck, you will see deer, seemingly undisturbed in this wild territory.
Camel ride and overnight at the ger camp.

KARAKORUM
Continuing on to Karakorum, the former capital of the Mongol Empire, located at the heart of the Orkhon Valley.
The 108 majestic white stupas surround Mongolia’s most important Buddhist site, the Erdene Zuu Monastery (Monastery of the Hundred Treasures).
It is here, in the cradle of the Mongol Empire, that this first monastery in Mongolia was built in 1586. For a moment, step into the world of Tibetan Buddhism, attend a religious ceremony and meet the many pilgrims who come here from across the country.
Overnight at the ger camp.

Karakorum

Settling in at the ger camp.
Free time in the hot water pools, known for their many benefits.

TSETSERLEG AND LAKE OGII
