Pemba, a 30-minute flight from Zanzibar, remains an untouched, lush green island. Still largely spared by tourism for now, it is an ideal retreat for an intimate, authentic journey.
Zanzibar, the main island, is by contrast more touristic, but no less fascinating for its architecture, inherited from a turbulent past. Here, the scents of Africa mingle with the turquoise gradients of the Indian Ocean and the winding lanes of the Omani era.
An interlude between culture and white sand.
