The spirit of the journey

This journey combines two faces of Southern Africa that few itineraries dare to bring together: the wild territories of Botswana and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in Mozambique. A tailor-made luxury experience, from the opening at Victoria Falls to the pristine beaches of the Bazaruto Archipelago.

The journey opens in Zimbabwe, at Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and among the most striking falls on earth. A prologue worthy of what follows.

You then head deep into the Okavango Delta, in Botswana. This unique UNESCO-listed ecosystem of channels, flooded plains and wooded islands.
4x4, walking and mokoro safaris bring you close to exceptional wildlife: elephants, lions, leopards, African wild dogs. The selected lodges and camps offer high-end comfort in exclusive-use areas, far from mass tourism.

The journey then shifts to Mozambique and the Bazaruto Archipelago, a protected marine sanctuary in the Indian Ocean. Diving on coral reefs, snorkelling with rays and dugongs, sailing among dunes and sandbanks. This coastal interlude is every bit as rich as the safari that precedes it.

This Botswana–Mozambique combination is designed for those who want to experience Africa in all its diversity: the power of the bush and the gentleness of the ocean, under exceptional conditions at every stage.

VICTORIA FALLS
Welcome to Zimbabwe, where you’ll discover Victoria Falls, pouring billions of litres of water into the void below. A marvel to take in from more than one angle: zip-line across an adjacent gorge, bungee jump into the depths of the canyon, go white-water rafting through its formidable waters — or simply take in the deluge and the permanent rainbow mist from the opposite banks or aboard a helicopter.
There are countless ways to experience this, and the luxurious Mpala Jena Camp offers a refined base for 2 nights, just a few kilometres upstream of the falls, on a private concession within Zambezi National Park, Zimbabwe.
Several activities are included: a cruise on the Zambezi River, a guided visit to the falls, and 4×4 safaris within the national park.

At Mpala Jena, nothing will disturb your peace and quiet, aside from birdsong overhead.

Mpala Jena Camp

OKAVANGO DELTA — Private concession
After reaching Kasane by road, you’ll fly over the winding channels of the Okavango Delta in a light aircraft before landing on a private concession in the northern delta, home to a permanent lagoon.
Set on a lush, palm-fringed island overlooking a deep, year-round channeled lagoon, this intimate tented camp offers relative luxury without losing the essence of African spontaneity. This is our well-kept secret!
4×4, motorboat and mokoro safaris immerse you in one of the finest aquatic reserves on earth. You’ll spend three nights in this charming lodge, which we particularly value for its warmth and its setting.

The peaceful setting, the abundance of animals and birds, the excellent accommodation, fine dining, the variety of activities, the warm welcomes and excellent guides all combine to guarantee a safari you’ll remember for a lifetime.

BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO
After an overnight transit in Johannesburg, you’ll find yourself immersed in the aquatic world of a pristine archipelago in Mozambique. A place untouched by crowds, where nothing disrupts the magic of the moment.
Walk the immaculate beaches of the unspoiled island of Benguerra.
Savour a subtle blend of freedom, wellbeing and heightened awareness of the natural world.
Explore lagoons with translucent waters where myriad tropical fish, turtles, whales, dolphins and Africa’s last dugongs swim.
Between moments of quiet contemplation, dive beneath the surface, then sail the shimmering waters at sunset aboard a traditional dhow.

You’ll stay 5 nights at andBeyond Benguerra Island.
Privacy and romance are the cornerstones of any stay at this remarkable luxury lodge, located on the north-western coast of Benguerra, Mozambique’s second largest island.
The setting is captivating, nestled among the trees of an indigenous forest and overlooking the untouched beaches and waters of the Bazaruto Archipelago.
The atmosphere remains perfectly relaxed, with an easy island feel throughout.
The concept of “barefoot luxury” reaches its full expression here.
