SIERRA NEVADA
The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is the highest coastal mountain range in the world, reachable in a 1-hour flight from Bogota. It rises to 5,700 metres and is the source of no fewer than 36 rivers.
These mountains are known for their lush vegetation, abundant biodiversity, and the various indigenous cultures that have survived here.
Our address is a haven of peace at the heart of this biodiversity, nestled 1,500 metres above the Caribbean Sea. La Casa Galavanta sits on a coffee plantation estate surrounded by tropical jungle. It’s the perfect place to disconnect. A chef and a mountain guide are on hand to attend to your every need. Mountain walks through wild landscapes, a lunch break by a natural pool, a cooking workshop with the house chef — all are on the programme. Or you might prefer a wellness and relaxation session on the terrace overlooking the ocean, running through some asanas, a sun salutation… or calling on a professional photographer to accompany your explorations, or a bird guide — the area is home to 628 bird species, more than 20 of them endemic.

CARTAGENA DE INDIAS
The colonial charm of Cartagena’s facades, which have regained all their colour since the city underwent a facelift to greet the third millennium.
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Cartagena de Indias, facing the Caribbean Sea, is the most fortified city in the Americas — Colombia’s Creole pearl. It blends an impressive colonial heritage with a thoroughly Caribbean energy.
Wander from alleyways to plazas to the rhythm of cumbia colombiana, immersing yourself in the world of Colombia’s literary giant, Gabriel García Márquez.
