You arrive in Panama.
Discovery of the ruins and museum of “Panama La Vieja”, the first city founded by the Spanish in 1519, along with the colonial quarter known as Casco Antiguo, designated a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1980. A walk through the streets of this remarkable colonial quarter. Visit to several churches from the colonial era, to the Plaza de Francia with its sweeping view over modern Panama City, and to Plaza Bolivar.
Visit to the Panama Canal Museum, which traces the history of the construction of this feat of engineering. You then go on to admire this 20th-century engineering marvel at the Miraflores Locks. You have a front-row seat to the spectacle of cruise ships and enormous cargo vessels known as Panamax passing through. They are part of one of the three sets of locks on the Panama Canal, located just 20 minutes from the capital.

Boat excursion to discover Monkey Island, with your private French-speaking guide.
You stay at the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve, in a room overlooking the Chagres River.
By road you reach Portobelo, a town with a turbulent history.
