CHEM CHEM CONCESSION – TARANGIRE
From Arusha, a light aircraft will take you to Chem Chem.
The private Chem Chem concession enjoys an ideal location between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara, at the heart of nature: listen closely and you’ll hear lions roaring and calling to one another through the night.
You can also watch elephants bathing in Lake Burunge.
And if you’re lucky, you’ll spot a cheetah hunting along the lakeshore. Antelopes, gazelles and leopards can be observed during safaris within the concession.
Chem Chem developed the concept of the “slow safari”. A genuine way of life where safaris are conducted mainly on foot with a Maasai guide, in total immersion with the bush, taking the time to appreciate every minute and feel every emotion.
Staying in this remarkable place, you’ll leave behind your hectic routine and feel entirely alone in the world. A rest for the mind that we all need.
We recommend spending 4 nights at Chem Chem, combining Little Chem Chem with the more luxurious Chem Chem Safari Lodge.
On the itinerary: walking safaris and 4×4 safaris within the concession and in Tarangire National Park.
With its own private concession, Chem Chem can arrange walking safaris with a private guide across the concession’s 4,000 hectares.
Here, luxury lies in the extraordinary experience you’ll live, at the heart of a spectacular display of wildlife.

MASWA RESERVE – SOUTHERN SERENGETI
After Chem Chem, the adventure continues atop massive stone outcrops, surrounded by ancient coral formations, at Mwiba Lodge.
Set within a private 20,000-hectare reserve south of Serengeti National Park, Mwiba Lodge is without doubt one of Tanzania’s finest addresses.
Less well known than the Serengeti, the Maswa Game Reserve is a former hunting concession only recently converted to tourism. Wildlife here is remarkably abundant. Discover it over a 3-night stay, with your private guide offering the finest encounters during two daily safaris.
Another experience not to be missed: a night under the stars.
