The spirit of the journey

It is off the beaten track that you can observe the tiger and wild Asian elephants.
First, by discovering Jim Corbett National Park, the first of its kind in India, established in 1936 under the name Hailey National Park. With the launch of "Project Tiger" in 1973, the park became, along with eight other Indian sites, an area dedicated to the protection of the Bengal tiger.

Then, further east in the Pilibhit reserve, you will experience a fine "African-style" adventure, staying in a mobile camp of unmatched charm. Here, you will have tiger country to yourself — a very different atmosphere from the one found in the more frequented Tiger Reserves of Ranthambore or Bandhavgarh.

And for a change of pace, a stop is planned at the Taj Mahal and in Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh, known for its gastronomy.

Nature off the beaten track, culture and gastronomy: all the essentials of a fine journey, brought together.

JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK
Your experience in Jim Corbett National Park is planned so that you explore the jungle by jeep, while also having enough time to explore part of the park on foot.
The Vanghat area, located beyond the park boundary, is particularly exciting. Reaching your lodge is an adventure in itself: a short 3 km hike, followed by a crossing of the Ramganga River on a makeshift raft pulled by a pulley system. A short walk then brings you to the lodge.
Needless to say, this is not a place overrun with tourists!

Parc national Jim Corbett

Corbett park was selected to launch “Project Tiger”, an initiative for tiger conservation.
In 1976 a dam was built, forming a lake that attracted numerous aquatic and migratory species. Located five hours from Delhi, it is India's most renowned park due to its biological diversity and its geographical setting, at the foot of the Himalayas. It is home to 350 mammal species, 2,000 bird species and subspecies, 500 species of amphibians, reptiles and fish, 110 tree species, and 51 shrub species. Wild Asian elephants can be observed here in fairly large numbers amid striking landscapes.
Corbett has an extraordinary atmosphere. It is one of the few places where the tiger stands a chance of surviving in the years to come.

PILIBHIT NATIONAL PARK
Pilibhit is an excellent compromise, offering wildlife enthusiasts the chance to track big cats in this magnificent forested region where tourist presence is minimal. During your stay, you will go on safaris inside Pilibhit Reserve and the neighbouring wildlife reserves.
You will likely be among the only vehicles inside this park — and that is precisely the strength of this experience.

CHAMBAL SAFARI LODGE
At Chambal Safari Lodge, you will encounter the last remaining Gangetic dolphins, crocodiles endemic to the region, and a birdlife recording over 330 different species — a feast for the eyes.
Chambal Safari Lodge is an oasis of peace, tranquillity and gracious hospitality, set within a vast heritage plantation surrounded by farmland.

LUCKNOW
Rich in exceptional architecture, dotted with fascinating bazaars and renowned throughout India for its cuisine, the capital of Uttar Pradesh is often overlooked by standard tourist itineraries. The centre of Lucknow features wide boulevards, monuments that trace an epic history, and several parks and gardens that help create an atmosphere of past grandeur.
The city established itself as the home of the Nawabs of Avadh (Oudh), great patrons of culinary and other arts, in particular dance and music. Lucknow’s reputation as a city of culture, gracious living and gastronomy endures to this day.
An expert will accompany you in the evening to discover this hidden gem!
