Tailor-made journey, fully customisable
Namibie
3 days / 2 nights
April to October
DAY 1
After your arrival at the base camp and a warm welcome, you will visit NaDEET, a non-profit organisation working to raise awareness of environmental conservation among local communities.
You will then set off into one of the largest private reserves in southern Africa. A roughly 2-hour walk through small dunes of singular beauty will bring you to your campsite.
Settle in and enjoy sundowners — a rare moment shared with nature itself.
Dinner and your first night under the stars.
DAY 2
Wake with the first light of the sun and breakfast in the desert, the horizon stretching out endlessly.
This second day brings sweeping views over the dunes and plains of the reserve, between rocky desert and dune desert. You will begin your walk along one of the ridges before descending toward a dry riverbed.
Your guide will help you read the tracks left by nocturnal activity and explain how this flora and fauna adapt to such a demanding environment.
You may spot ostriches, oryx, springbok, as well as the golden mole or the endemic dune lark.
After lunch in the open, you will rest during the hottest hours of the day. You will then continue on, with an endless sea of dunes ahead of you and “fairy circles” set against a backdrop of mountain scenery.
Watch the shifting light of sunset before dinner beneath Africa’s dark sky, and fall asleep under the open stars.
DAY 3
A gentle wake-up with the first light of day, and a final breakfast among the dunes.
Set off on the return journey through a landscape of rolling dunes and Erioloba acacias, which offer welcome shade for a rest stop.
Arrival at base camp by late morning, ready to continue your journey through Namibia.
