After a colourful excursion through the village of Mto Wa Mbu, between lush plantations and craft workshops, we leave the usual paths behind. As the 4x4s head off and the park empties, we take another direction: toward a hidden area, peaceful and wild.
Here, calm reigns, and the landscapes are breathtaking.
It’s there, in a remote valley lined with waterfalls and dense forest, that Wayo Manyara hides. The camp, set right into the bed of a dry riverbed, seems in total harmony with nature. The lapping of water, the rustling leaves, the cliffs towering above. It all forms a living, breathtaking picture.
The next day, exploration takes many forms: on foot beneath the acacias, by canoe on the shimmering lake, by bike along trails lined with lush vegetation, or in a quiet 4x4 in search of wildlife.
Here, every activity is total immersion.
And in the evening, when the fire crackles under the stars and the waterfalls murmur nearby, you feel alone in the world, fortunate, in awe.
Wayo Manyara is adventure far from the crowds, true immersion at the heart of Manyara, discovering the secrets of a park too often simply flown over.
