The Alphen Hotel is set in the pleasant Constantia Valley, Cape Town's most upscale suburb. This is a wine-growing region behind Table Mountain, home to magnificent estates (Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia).
This quiet location also puts you within half an hour of Cape Town's city centre, a few minutes from Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and within easy reach of beaches such as Hout Bay, Llandudno or even Camps Bay.
The Alphen has no ocean view, but sits in a peaceful, green setting away from the hustle of the city.

Layout

The Alphen Hotel offers a bar and two renowned restaurants: one for quick dining (Belle Café) and a fine-dining one (5 Rooms & The Rose), set within the beautiful lounges of the historic manor house.
A pool, a pleasant garden, and a spa are also available to guests.
Accommodation consists of just twenty or so rooms.

Rooms

The Alphen Hotel has only 21 rooms, divided into 4 categories:
- the Classic Suites offer an excellent level of comfort: air conditioning, wifi, minibar, premium-comfort beds, Lavazza coffee machines, mini-safes, satellite TV, iPod docking station…
- the Superior Suites are somewhat larger and also feature a bathroom with 2 basins and a sitting area.
- the Deluxe Suites additionally offer a terrace.
- the Magic Suite stands somewhat apart.
