We recommend the camp for children aged 6 and over.
Each chalet, designed to accommodate two to four people, combines space and privacy. A cosy lounge, centred around a wood-burning stove, invites relaxation or reading. The mezzanine, home to the main sleeping area, adds a soft, inviting touch. The design, resolutely Scandinavian, blends raw wood, weathered leather, dark steel and natural textiles: an atmosphere where simplicity meets elegance.
The private terraces, fitted with a hot tub facing the river, become the ideal place to disconnect: soaking in warm water while gazing up at the starlit sky, perhaps crowned by the coloured veils of the Northern Lights…
A traditional wood-fired sauna promises an invigorating alternation of intense heat and bracing cold in winter. An indoor space is dedicated to treatments such as massages, reiki and relaxing rituals (advance booking required). Yoga, sometimes offered in small groups, is held among the trees, a promise of inner balance.
Each season, Arctic Retreat reveals a distinct facet of Lapland, offering guests a carefully curated range of experiences.
In winter, nature falls into a muffled silence that lends itself to snow-bound adventures: gliding through snow-laden forests by dog sled, crossing untouched expanses by snowmobile, or taking to cross-country skis and snowshoes. Frozen lakes invite ice fishing, while polar nights are lit by the hypnotic dance of the northern lights, best admired from the comfort of a steaming Nordic bath.
When autumn sets the taiga ablaze with copper and crimson hues, the mood turns more contemplative. Wooded trails are explored on foot or by bike, amid the scent of moss and undergrowth. Picking berries and mushrooms becomes an invitation to slow down and reconnect with the rhythms of nature. Meeting a Sámi family reveals the deep soul of these lands, their songs and ancestral legends echoing around a campfire. The season's first auroras punctuate the evenings, a prelude to winter.
At the height of summer, under the endless light of the midnight sun, the Råne River comes alive with canoes and kayaks, while the lush forests welcome horseback riders and mountain bikers. Days stretch out in an almost unreal softness, ideal for wild swimming and sport fishing. Here, every activity unfolds in a perfect balance between adventure and serenity, offering total immersion in the essence of Arctic nature.
