Wulaia Bay, located on Navarino Island in Tierra del Fuego, is a site of exceptional historical and natural significance.
Formerly a meeting place for the Yamana, an indigenous people, the bay also welcomed Charles Darwin during his voyage aboard the HMS Beagle on 23 January 1833. Today, Wulaia is renowned for its picturesque scenery, combining lenga forests (Patagonian beech), steep mountains, and crystal-clear waters. You can explore the bay via a hiking trail leading to a spectacular viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramas over the entire bay — weather permitting!
The local flora and fauna, including species such as the Andean condor and the South American grey fox, enrich the experience. A small on-site museum tells the fascinating history of the Yamana people and European explorers.
